Supernova – Sungmo

It is his first real serious acting.

The musical adaptation of a popular drama in both Japan and Korea ” Love in Palace”.

Sungmo together with SS501 Kyu Jong who both play the part of Prince Shin.

The Musical is to have a total of 16 performances in Tokyo this month.

Supernova has acted in a movie but now Sungmo, a member of the group will act individually. This is first serious acting job.

On stage, he will have to deliver both serious and comedic acts.

During the rehearsal Sungmo has mentioned that he doesn’t often joke around with fellow actors as he was so worried about this acting job.

He was challenged to show much confidence in singing and acting infront of the fans.

Supernova is known to be a ballad group, but during the interview Sungmo seems to be having a hoarse voice.

In fact he stated that about a year ago he had some throat problems but that has slowly deteriorated as he practices his vocals.

In addition, last Sunday he strained his left foot during the dance rehearsals.

His foot was being therapied by a massage everyday to make it feel better.

During the stage performance the audience did not even notice that he has an injury.

While everyone else is worried about Sungmo’s condition, he tried to overcome the pain and did his best playing his role as Prince Shin.

Sungmo received a warm of applause from the audience. He stated that he is no longer nervous and instead was enjoying the show.

” I wanted to study acting more ” Though he sang his solo song on their most recent Japanese movie he stated that next year his goal is to write another song.

In October, their leader Yunhak has enlisted in the army.

” Good luck in the army Yunhak hyung! It is a good place for you to mature more. “ his eyes twinkled. While their leader works with perseverance, he swore to work harder and grow more as an artist.
