Without Yunhak, Supernova is to stand on stage for the first time as 5 members at the Golden Disk Awards

Next month, eyes and ears of KPOP fans worldwide will concentrate in the coming “26th Golden Disk Awards” ceremony. On January 11th and 12, the Golden Disk Award Ceremony to be held at Osaka Kyosera Dome in Japan, will include a top notch KPOP concert. As KPOP top acts like Super Junior, SNSD, Kara, Beast, CN Blue and FT Island confirmed their participation, expectations of Japanese KPOP fans grew and they’ve been jamming the official website to buy tickets and vote as they count the days for the event.

Especially, Supernova’s upcoming performance is receiving great interest from the local Japanese fans. After the enlistment of member Yunhak in the army in October, Supernova hasn’t had a public performance, and the Golden Disk Awards will be their first official stage as 5 members. This will be their first stage in three months after the fanmeet they held previous to the enlistment of Yunhak in October.

After the news of the participation of Supernova, fans have been busy exchanging information through social networks like Twitter and fancafes.
Thanks to their rising popularity in Japan, Supernova has been invited to the Golden Disk Awards for the first time since their debut in 2007, so the expectations of the fans are even higher. Supernova are preparing a special stage only for the ceremony and reflected their thoughts on the matter “It is an honor to receieve an invitation to perform at the Golden Disk Awards, since it’s an event that it’s regarded so greatly by singers”. A representative from Maroo stated: “This stage has a really high significance as it’s the members’ first stage after Yunhak’s enlistment. The song ‘On The Days That I Missed You’ is being rearranged and we are planning a totally new performance that hasn’t been showed before”

The Golden Disk Secretariat commented: “This year, Supernova has achieved great results in Japan. They recieved an invitation to the event which will be in Japan, since they qualify as top Hallyu Star. They are nominated for a special award as they have widely extended KPOP overseas. They are also ranking high positions in the popularity poll for local Japanese fans, which is proof of their popularity”

In the Japan Popularity Vote (http://www.msn-gda.com/report/index.php?cid=jp), Supernova is currently in the leading group along with others as Park Jaebom, SNSD and Super Junior. This is the first time the Golden Disk Awards will be held overseas.
