The popular Korean drama, will have it’s Musical show in Tokyo that will start on December 16,2011. The Musical has made its debut in Kyoto, and was also shown in Seoul where Kyu Jong played the role of Prince Shin. The show in Tokyo will feature Supernova member Sungmo playing the role of Prince Shin as well.

Born in 1987, he has been an active member of the popular Hallyu group Supernova.

There is a high expectation from him since he has so much exposure to the press conference and the media. Actually during the first press conference of the Musical at Tokyo, we shook hands with him but he was a little embarassed.
We would like to listen and to know how is he preparing for the said show.

Are there common similarities between him and the role that he will play?
Sungmo has worked extensively in Japan as a member of Supernova.
The Musical ” Love in Palace ” he will play Prince Shin.

How does he feel playing the role?

” When I first learned that I will be playing the role of a Prince in a popluar Musical both in Korea and Japan, I got so excited and I still cannot beleive it. I was a highschool student when the drama has been broadcast in Korea. Friends have been talking about it and I did not thought that I will be a cast of this Musical 5 years after ”

What is his personality similar to that of Prince Shin?

” I used to be very weak infront of the girl I have fell inlove with before. That personality is similar with him. Like Shin I dont really speak much, even with my co members I dont really speak alot. The words are usually short ( laughs ). But with a girl I like, I just say short words but directly. That is just the difference. ”

As a prince and you are to go on a travel there will be a lot of fans/ girls. Is there any similarity with that as a member of Supernova being surrounded by fans?

” I am used to being surrounded by alot of girls. As a member of Supernova there is a similarity there. I am loved by alot of people, coming from everywhere just to see me ( laughs ) ”

The fans will be very anxious to see your romantic scene with your leading lady “Chae Kyung “

” Together with the actress. I will be harmless ( laughs ) The letters that we received from fans is they want to see if there is any kissing scene. I tried to calm myself but I am very nervous. ”

In The Musical you are to wear glamorous costumes, we are wondering which is your favorite costume?

” I like suits. When I do live performance with Supernova I wear suits. After singing a ballad song, we do a dance performance wearing a suit.  But this time I have to steadily sing wearing a beautiful suit. ”

There will be original songs you have to sing in the Musical.

The Musical stage in Korea, It was sang on the ” Coronation ball “, then followed by the second. I think there has been significant differences with the performances.

” I think this is a big challenge for me.I find it hard to believe that I am lucky to be chosen to be a cast of this Musical. I have been singing with other members of Supernova for a long time. And now fans will come and see me performing alone. ”

Sungje, your co member from Supernova has starred in the Musical ” 200 Pounds beauty ” in Osaka and his stages were very successful. Has he given you any advise?

” Sung je hyung called me yesterday. He said it’s okay I can do it. Good luck and just believe in myself.” Sungje  also said ” I’m pretty good now ( laughs).You have to come and see my last stage at Osaka tomorrow, and maybe you can hear me sing and watch me perform.”

However Sung mo mentioned that this Musical is different from the usual, and it is very challenging as he is going to work with great performers.

” The voice with your emotion, along with your whole body you need to focus on singing. The performance could last for more than 2 hours so good luck to us ( laughs ).
It is more like of a Musical fantasy, you have to pay attention to the gesture of my hands and you will probably understand what I mean and you will smile. ”
